BACKGROUND
ARC Telecoms is a converged voice and IP data telecommunications service provider dedicated to meet the unique requirements of the small and medium business (SMB) sector in South Africa.
It was founded in April 2010 to meet the increasing demand from the SMB sector for a provider of a complete suite of high quality voice, internet access and managed network solutions, along with cost-effective cloud-based productivity applications. ARC’s solutions and services are backed by world-class customer service and support that is attuned to the resources and priorities of the mid-size business.
ARC Telecoms employs a ‘network neutral’ business model for connectivity. Currently, ARC Telecoms has wholesale agreements with all the major networks to ensure it can offer clients the most appropriate last-mile option. ARC Telecoms is then able to layer its own core Internet and voice products and services over the network. The benefit of this model is that ARC Telecoms will not only deal directly with the networks on the customer’s behalf, but can also redesign and realign product offerings and packages to better suit SME requirements.
This model of developing solutions when they are needed, and forging smart partnerships where good technology is already available, is central to how ARC Telecoms builds its relationships with customers, staff, channel partners and suppliers. Providing exceptional service to the SMB sector means going beyond mere technology provision and becoming an integral part of the IT ecosystem.

If not, we pull it out and take it away – no pressure, no risk.

ARC has two great support strategies. First we have a helpdesk that understands the small and medium business environment with clearly defined support levels and response times that you choose according to your needs and budget. And second, we provide a dedicated account manager that you can shout at when things go wrong, and who can shout on your behalf to get those things right. (ARC recommends taking the dedicated account manager out for a drink once things are sorted out.)

When it comes to the commodity of bandwidth, we know that the best way to give you value is to partner with a number of carriers to make sure we can give you the best connectivity and last mile option. ARC isn’t interested in fighting it out in an implementation battle over who has the longest, phattest, darkest fibre.
